The wedge

Hinglish stays Hinglish(if you want it).

Most dictation tools quietly translate you into stiff English. Echoe doesn't. If you said "ek webhook" you'll see "ek webhook", not "a webhook." Code-switching is how you actually talk; we keep it.

EchoeHinglish, kept
"Bhai launch is slipping by two days because ek webhook is firing twice. Shrey is on it, EOD tomorrow ho jayega."
We transcribe what you actually said. Hinglish stays Hinglish, English stays English. Filler is removed; meaning is preserved.
OthersAuto-translated
"Brother, the launch is delayed by two days because a webhook is firing twice. Shrey is working on it; it will be done by end of day tomorrow."
Auto-translation strips the texture out of how you actually talk. Sounds correct; reads like a stranger wrote it.
You can still flip an output to clean English when the audience demands it, bank emails, investor follow-ups, formal docs. Echoe learns per-app: Slack stays Hinglish, Gmail goes English, after about three dictations.
Out of the way

A small floating panel. That's the entire UI.

No window, no focus stealing, no extra clicks. Echoe hovers in the corner while you talk, transforms what you said, drops it where your cursor was, then disappears.

Step 01

Hold a hotkey.

Right ⌘ by default. fn, caps lock, anything. Works in any app where your cursor is.
right ⌘orfnor any combo
Step 02

The HUD does the rest.

Listening, transforming, inserted. Three states, one tiny window. Auto-dismisses when it's done.

FAQ

The questions we get most.

Audio is briefly stored on our servers for up to one hour to enable retries and quality monitoring, then automatically deleted. We never read its contents — it exists only to be processed by Sarvam AI for transcription. Full details on our Privacy page.
Yes. Echoe types into any text field your cursor is in, including WhatsApp Web, Slack, Gmail, Figma, terminals, and AI chat tools like ChatGPT and Claude.
Apple Silicon and Intel are both supported. macOS 14+ required.
No. Your transcripts are not used to train any model, ours or third-party. See our privacy page for details.
On your Mac, in a local database that only your macOS account can read. (Technical readers: full path is ~/Library/Application Support/Echoe/echoe.sqlite.) The transcript and polished output travel from our server to your Mac in the HTTP response and are never written to our database. Our server only records metadata: duration, language detected, and whether the request succeeded.
No. We have no access to dictation text — not even for our own beta testers. Our server logs contain timestamps, durations, and error codes, never what you said. The only copy of your dictations is on your own Mac.
